In Defence of Elephant Euthanasia. Let's Go Gator on the GOP and everyone.

Prior to writing this, I had to consciously go outside and take a walk just so what came out in these lines would be coherent and not come out as some sort of text equivalent of a primal scream. If you're a progressive liberal you may want to take that as the one piece of advice that you'll truly appreciate here, because from here on out there's not much that applies to you. Well. . . maybe some of it you'll find familiar. But really, my first response to what has happened today in Washington DC would have been something that I'd probably have regretted not long after. And this is not going to be the best sourced or the most civil piece I've written, but it is evident to me that those are not what is called for right now.

MY FRIENDS . . .

. . .  if you didn't know it until now we don't have a home. Not in any political party, and certainly not in the Republican Party. "Who is we?" you might ask. I think that the people I'm speaking to are those that recognize that personal freedom, property freedom, and rhetorical freedom are the values that originally brought America to a position where we are the envy of the entire world. We produce a lot of crap, but between all of it we have some real diamonds in the rough, but those are increasingly shoved to the sidelines by a society of eroding standards and a lack of commitment to real ideas.

SO WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?

The Republican Party has run since 2008 as being the alternative to state interventionism in the economy. I'm not talking about being against socialism here; that's not exactly the case we are talking about. The state can intervene in the economy without managing it. Such is the nature of Keynes School neo-liberalism; a debtor state that demands high taxation in order to subsidize goods and services. But that illusion of being an alternative should now be done away with now that the Republicans have refused to fulfill the mandate of the average voter and repeal Obamacare. The Republican Party and the Democrats are like different squares on the same quilt and they are woven from the same fabric, a composite made of natural woolly stupidity and synthetic treachery.

And unfortunately, Keynes School economics is the morphine that has killed the traditional vehicle of fiscal conservatism that is called the Republican Party AKA GOP. The frauds that have led the party from both Bush presidents to John Boehner to Mitt Romney to John Kasich to Paul Ryan and Bitch McConnell have embraced Keynes School economics because on the technical level it "helps" the private sector. Is Donald Trump a part of this problem? Absolutely yes! But as has been said in both whispers and in megaphones he's not a "real Republican".

Do you want to know who's also not a "real Republican"?

Most Republicans aren't "real Republicans". A "real Republican" likely doesn't associate with the Republican Party and the ridiculous farce that it has become. How can these disgusting frauds with their pressed shirts, balding scalps, and wagging jowls even claim to represent anything besides their corporate sponsors?

I have done video after video, and shared information and statistics in several forums for over a year about how the "Affordable" Care Act may be the most deceptive and poorly constructed program in the history of lawmaking. Have I been doing this out of a sense of belonging to a party? Absolutely not, and the fact is that perhaps I like many of you am late to the game and have been more politically expressive than active, but for chrissakes who has benefited from these elections? I remain working at an 8-5 job in the private sector, so it's obviously not me, and I'm assuming if you like me are not one of these limp dicked jackasses that lead the GOP that neither have you. The Republican Party ran on the repeal of Obamacare but now they are walking hand in hand with their colleagues across the aisle through another season of mediocrity and failure. These people that for years pretended to refute the promises that Obamacare claimed it would fulfill ("access for all", "keeping Obamacare", "covering preexisting conditions") now give mild excuses as to why they will not cut the cord on the program that has failed on every count.

WHAT TO BELIEVE FROM NOW ON?

Even in this depth of despair I urge you all that instead of being "real Republicans" how about you share in the proper forums the real reasons that you oppose Obamacare and maybe some of the elements of a real solution that preserves the innovation, quality, and flexibility of medical care and technology in the United States.
  • 1.) Price fixing and subsidies, which are what Obamacare does essentially, will not lead to lower premiums. On the contrary, when you combine a neutered market that these create with crippling regulation it's no wonder progressively fewer insurers want to participate in this demented jack-in-the-box programme.
  • 2.) Let's go on OFFENSE. The emphasis on the insurance coverage aspect of medical care neglects every other aspect of a massive sector that encompasses numerous industries and services besides insurance. We need to go BOLD and propose measures in those other industries. Why is it that in 2012 as part of the lead-up to Obamacare Congress and President Obama decided to impose a 2.3% medical device excise tax? Apparently this was suspended in 2016 and may be done away with, but let's at least ask the question: Who in their right mind thought that a tax on EKG machines and other devices that are meant to provide care to patients would actually benefit the patient? Inevitably the cost of this is passed on to the consumer. . . the same consumer that is sometimes the patient.
  • 3.) Along the same lines as the above point we must start to question why it is that in the modern higher education system, or among the American Medical Association and other lobbying group the focus seems to be on placing more burdens on young students advancing to become practicing doctors as opposed to facilitating them. I happen to know people that have spent upwards of 13 years in the pipeline from beginning their undergraduate studies and STILL are not practicing as fully fledged doctors. Can you name any other profession where the process is longer, and that's before we even get to the cost. In 2013 CBS News shared the article "$1 million mistake: Becoming a doctor". The title was an exaggeration but consider this: the graduating doctor will on average incur $166,750 in debt during medical, and assuming a 30-year payoff period will ultimately cost the student almost $420 thousand.
The political parties don't have any solutions to this problem. Hell, they don't even consider it a problem. When are they standing in front of Georgetown Medical School talking about alleviating any of these issues? How many times do you have to get the cheesy donation emails from the RNC or the RNCC and yes from the Trump campaign itself asking for your cash before you realize that this crap isn't even in the passenger seat for them. In fact, if they had it their way these issues would be bundled into the trunk with a nice shining bump over their head from a lead pipe and the car is on it's way to some wilderness two counties west of Chicago where a freshly dug grave awaits them. The GOP doesn't give a fuck about you. The only reason they care about each other is because if they had to go on camera and spout the same crap over and over again without that fucking letter after their name, they would be standing all alone with the repercussions of their failure like an ill-timed erection during a high school presentation.

Which is why the last step that I'm talking about is absolutely essential. You need to go to  this website, find your senators and send them a simple message. I think Rand Paul and a handful of others can be given a more mild message, but as for everyone else: Fuck'em, just cut and paste what I'm writing below:

"I don't give a fuck about what you did before getting elected. I don't give a fuck about your support for the Redwings/Dodgers/Rangers/<INSERT HERE>. I don't give a fuck what church/mosque/synagogue/Denny's you attend. You've had your chance and you can go fuck yourself. I'm going GATOR".
